Archangel Gabriel 18"

This 18-inch Archangel Gabriel statue honors the messenger of God who announced to Zechariah the birth of John the Baptist and greeted the Virgin at Nazareth: "Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with you." His name means "strength of God," and he also appears in the Book of Daniel. Gabriel shares the September 29 feast with Michael and Raphael, and Pope Pius XII named him patron of those who work in telecommunications.

At 18 inches it sits well on a home altar, desk or shelf, and it makes a meaningful gift for an expectant family, a journalist or broadcaster, a postal worker or a Confirmation candidate. A sheltered garden spot suits it too.
