Assumption 28"
This 28-inch Assumption statue celebrates the Blessed Virgin Mary taken up body and soul into heavenly glory at the end of her earthly life. Pope Pius XII defined the Assumption as dogma in 1950, confirming what Christians of East and West had believed for centuries, and the Church keeps the solemnity each August 15. Her twelve-star halo recalls the woman of Revelation 12, clothed with the sun and crowned with stars, a sign of Mary's share in her Son's victory over death.
At 28 inches, the image suits a parish chapel, a side altar, a classroom or a Marian grotto, and it gives an August procession or a parish feast day a worthy centerpiece.
Includes a metal 12-star halo.
Finish options: Monotone, Standard Full-Color, Premium Full-Color, and Fancy Full-Color.
