Assumption 69"

This 69-inch Assumption statue proclaims the Church's faith that the Blessed Virgin Mary, having completed the course of her earthly life, was assumed body and soul into heavenly glory, in the words Pope Pius XII used when he defined the dogma in 1950. The feast on August 15 is among the oldest Marian celebrations, and it assures the faithful that where the Mother has gone, her children hope to follow, raised up by the grace of her Son.

At 69 inches it is scaled for a church sanctuary, the entrance of an Assumption parish, a cemetery, or a school courtyard, where it lifts eyes and hearts toward heaven.
