The Assumption is among the most common titles given to parishes and cathedrals in the Americas, and a statue of it should match the scale of the church. This sixty-nine-inch figure is made for that setting: Our Lady rising, the mystery of August 15 given a presence that reaches the whole nave.
It stands at a Marian side altar, in a sanctuary niche, at the church entrance, or in a cemetery or plaza, and it is often commissioned as a parish jubilee or memorial gift.
