Baby Jesus (#8) 16"
This 16-inch Baby Jesus statue, model #8, presents the newborn Christ Child with crystal eyes, an image of God made small for love of us. The Gospel of Luke tells how Mary wrapped Him in swaddling clothes and laid Him in a manger, and how the shepherds hurried to adore Him. Such figures are often carried in procession on Christmas Eve and laid in the crèche, then honored again on Candlemas, when the Child is presented in the Temple.
At 16 inches long it suits a home crèche, a family altar, or a church's Christmas Eve procession. It is a treasured gift for a baptism, a new baby, or a family that keeps the Niño Dios tradition.
Measures 16 inches long, with crystal eyes.
Made from a lightweight, durable resin-fiberglass blend and painted by hand.
