St Gregory Hernandez 9"
This 9-inch St. Gregory Hernandez statue honors St. José Gregorio Hernández, the beloved 'doctor of the poor,' a Venezuelan physician and scientist who treated the sick without charge and saw medicine as a work of charity. A daily communicant who twice tried to enter religious life, he served God as a layman at the bedside and in the laboratory. He died in 1919 while on his way to bring medicine to a poor patient, was beatified in 2021 and canonized in 2025. His feast is October 26.
A small, meaningful piece for a home altar, a doctor's office, a clinic or a hospital chapel. It is a thoughtful gift for a physician, a nurse or a medical student, or for anyone praying for healing.
Made from a lightweight, durable resin-fiberglass blend and painted by hand. +++
