Blessed Solanus Casey 24"
This 24-inch Blessed Solanus Casey statue honors the Capuchin friar of Detroit whose ministry of healing and compassion reached Catholics, non-Catholics, people of other faiths and even those who professed no faith. Ordained a simplex priest who could not preach doctrinal sermons or hear confessions, he served as porter at the friary door, listening to thousands and counseling them to 'thank God ahead of time.' When the Great Depression began in 1929, he helped start the Capuchin Soup Kitchen. He was beatified in 2017, and his memorial is July 30.
A gentle presence for a home altar, a desk or a prayer corner, and for a Catholic Charities office or hospital chapel. Invoked as patron of apparent failure and setbacks, he is a thoughtful gift for anyone facing a hard season.
Made from a lightweight, durable resin-fiberglass blend and painted by hand.
