Brother Peter 9"
This 9-inch Brother Peter statue honors St. Peter of St. Joseph Betancur, the Hermano Pedro beloved throughout Central America. Born in the Canary Islands in 1626, he came to Antigua, Guatemala, where he cared for the sick, the homeless, and poor children, taught them to pray, and founded the Bethlehemite community. Canonized by St. John Paul II in 2002, he is invoked for healing and by all who serve the poor.
At 9 inches it fits a bedside table, a home altar, or a small shelf in a hospital chaplaincy. It is a thoughtful gift for a nurse, a caregiver, or a family devoted to Hermano Pedro.
Made from a lightweight, durable resin-fiberglass blend and painted by hand.
