Chalice 2

Chalice 2 is a sacred vessel for the altar, the cup in which the priest consecrates the wine that becomes the Precious Blood at Mass. Together with the paten it holds pride of place among the sacred vessels, and the General Instruction of the Roman Missal asks that it be made of noble materials, with a cup that does not absorb liquids, and blessed before liturgical use. Each time it is raised, it echoes Christ's words: "This is the chalice of my Blood."

Use it for Sunday and weekday Mass in a parish, mission or chapel, or give it as an ordination, anniversary or jubilee gift to a priest who will offer the Holy Sacrifice with it for years to come.
