Chalice 5
The Chalice 5 is a chalice for the Eucharistic liturgy, the most honored of the sacred vessels because it holds the Blood of the Lord poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. At the elevation the priest raises the chalice for the people to adore, and those who receive from it share in the new and eternal covenant. In the Church's tradition a chalice is never put to ordinary use; it belongs wholly to the altar.
It serves a parish church, a chapel, or a seminary sacristy, and it is a lasting gift from a family or parish to a priest on his ordination day or jubilee.
