Chalice 7
The Chalice 7 is an altar chalice for the celebration of Holy Mass, the cup in which wine mixed with a little water becomes the Blood of Christ. The mingling of water and wine, which the priest accompanies with a quiet prayer, signifies our sharing in the divinity of Christ, who humbled Himself to share in our humanity. After Communion the chalice is purified, and it is kept in the sacristy as a vessel reserved for sacred use alone.
It is a sound choice for a parish that needs another chalice for Communion under both kinds, a convent or campus chapel, or a gift from family and friends to a newly ordained priest.
