Crucifix #1 Agony 18"
This 18-inch agony crucifix, Crucifix #1, shows Jesus in the hours before His death, when He cried out, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” and prayed the psalm of the suffering just man. Depicting Christ alive on the Cross draws the faithful into His last words and His offering of Himself to the Father for sinners. It is a fitting companion for Lenten meditation, for Good Friday, and for the Chaplet of Divine Mercy prayed at three o'clock.
Its size suits a bedroom wall, a home altar, a prayer corner, or a student's dorm room, and it is a meaningful gift for Confirmation, for someone entering the Church through OCIA, or for a first home.
The cross is 18" tall. Jesus is still alive and in agony, so His head is up, His eyes are open, and there is no side wound, since that wound occurred after He died.
Made from a lightweight, durable resin-fiberglass blend and painted by hand. +++
