This 84-inch crucifix gives a church the great sign of redemption on a scale that can be seen from every pew: Christ lifted up on the cross, drawing all people to Himself. The Church asks that a cross bearing the figure of Christ crucified stand on or near the altar at Mass, and from the earliest centuries the faithful have venerated the Cross, above all on Good Friday. It echoes St. Paul: "Far be it from me to glory except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ."
