Divine Providence 20" fancy
This 20-inch Divine Providence statue honors Our Lady of Divine Providence, the title given to Mary in her tender care for the Child Jesus, first venerated through a painting by Scipione Pulzone kept by the Barnabite Fathers in Rome. Brought to Puerto Rico in the nineteenth century, the devotion grew until Pope St. Paul VI named her patroness of the island in 1969. Her feast there is celebrated on November 19, and families invoke her when they must trust God for their daily needs.
Its 20-inch size is right for a home altar, a kitchen prayer shelf or a family shrine, and it is a treasured gift for a new home, a wedding or anyone of Puerto Rican heritage who loves this image.
Stands 20" tall. Extra fancy decorative finish.
Made from a lightweight, durable resin-fiberglass blend and painted by hand.
