Don Bosco 79" (with children)

This 79-inch Don Bosco with children statue portrays St. John Bosco, the priest of Turin who gathered poor and abandoned boys off the streets and gave them faith, schooling, and a trade. His preventive system rested on reason, religion, and loving kindness, and he founded the Salesians and, with St. Mary Mazzarello, the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians. He died in 1888; his feast is January 31, and he is patron of youth, students, and educators.

At 79 inches, it gives a Salesian school or parish, a youth center, a church entrance, or a school courtyard a landmark image of a priest with the young people he served.
