Embrace of St. Francis 11"
This 11-inch Embrace of St. Francis statue takes up a treasured theme of Franciscan art: the love between St. Francis of Assisi and Christ crucified, pictured as an embrace between the Lord on the Cross and His poor servant. Francis conformed his life so closely to Jesus that, two years before his death, he received the stigmata on Mount La Verna. The image speaks of total surrender and of a Savior who reaches out to anyone who clings to the Cross.
Its size suits a home altar, a desk or a prayer corner, and it is a moving gift for Confirmation, for a Franciscan friend, or for someone carrying a heavy cross who needs to know Christ holds them.
Made from a lightweight, durable resin-fiberglass blend and painted by hand.
