St. Juan Diego 39" Kneeling
This 39-inch kneeling St. Juan Diego statue shows the humble Indigenous convert to whom Our Lady of Guadalupe appeared on the hill of Tepeyac in December 1531. When the bishop asked for a sign, Mary sent Juan Diego with roses gathered in winter, and when he opened his tilma before the bishop, her image was found miraculously imprinted on it. St. John Paul II canonized him in 2002, and his feast is December 9. He is a model of trust, humility and obedience to God's messenger.
Kneeling in prayer, he belongs beside an image of Our Lady of Guadalupe in a chapel, on a side altar or in a parish shrine. He is also a meaningful centerpiece for December 12 celebrations and Guadalupe devotions.
He measures approximately 37 inches from the base to the top of his head. His scale size is 47 inches if standing. Pairs with our 60-inch Guadalupe.
