The oldest Marian devotion in the United States is a mother feeding her baby. Our Lady of La Leche, Nuestra Señora de la Leche y Buen Parto, has been honored at St. Augustine, Florida, since the Spanish built her chapel at Mission Nombre de Dios, and she was canonically crowned in 2021. She is the patroness of mothers and safe deliveries.
Twenty-two inches stands on a home altar, in a maternity ward chapel, a pregnancy center, a nursery or a parish's Marian corner, and in the exterior finish in a garden shrine.
