St. Catherine Labouré kept her secret for forty-six years. No one in her convent knew that the quiet sister who fed the chickens was the one who had seen Our Lady in 1830 and been told to strike the medal. The image she described, the Virgin with open hands standing on the world, is the Our Lady of Grace shown here, with a metal halo of twelve stars.
Thirty-five inches is the size for a Marian garden, a school entrance hall, a side chapel or a large home prayer room. Parishes often choose it for a May crowning where a life-size figure would be too much.
Finished with Fancy decorations; metal 12-star halo included. Made of a lightweight, durable resin-fiberglass blend and hand-painted by artisans, each statue finished individually.
