Our Lady of Mercy 49"
Honored in Spanish as la Virgen de la Merced, Our Lady of Mercy is the subject of this 49-inch statue, which embodies her divine compassion and grace. According to tradition she appeared in 1218 to St. Peter Nolasco, moving him to found the Mercedarians to ransom Christians held captive. Her feast is September 24, and today the faithful ask her help for prisoners, for those bound by addiction or sin, and for all who long for freedom in Christ.
At 49 inches it suits a church sanctuary, a chapel, or a parish entrance, and it is also at home in a cemetery, a school courtyard, or a shrine on parish grounds.
Finish options: Monotone, Standard Full-Color, and Fancy Full-Color. Monotone and Standard Full-Color are offered for interior or exterior placement; Fancy Full-Color is offered for interior placement only. Made from a lightweight, durable resin-fiberglass blend and painted by hand. +++
