Mary stands as Bernadette saw her in 1858, in white with a blue sash, yellow roses on her feet, a rosary on her arm and hands folded. The sick are brought to her on February 11, the World Day of the Sick.
Thirty-one inches suits a backyard or parish grotto, a hospital chapel, a convent garden or a classroom. Families build a rock niche for it; parishes set it where candles can be lit.
