Our Lady of Lourdes 66"

This 66-inch Our Lady of Lourdes statue recalls the eighteen apparitions of the Blessed Virgin to St. Bernadette Soubirous at the grotto of Massabielle in 1858. On March 25 of that year the Lady named herself, saying, I am the Immaculate Conception, and the spring she revealed has drawn the sick ever since. Her feast is February 11, also the World Day of the Sick, and she is traditionally shown in white with a blue sash, hands joined in prayer and a rosary on her arm.

At 66 inches it is scaled for a parish grotto, a church entrance, a sanctuary niche or a cemetery, and it offers a place of prayer for the sick at a Catholic hospital or on school grounds.
