Mt. Carmel 10"
This 10-inch Our Lady of Mount Carmel statue honors Mary as patroness of the Carmelite Order, which traces its roots to hermits living on Mount Carmel in the Holy Land. According to Carmelite tradition, Our Lady gave the Brown Scapular to St. Simon Stock in 1251 as a sign of her protection. Millions wear the scapular today, and her feast on July 16 is a traditional day for enrollment.
Small enough for a nightstand, desk or home altar, it is a thoughtful gift for a First Communion, a scapular enrollment, a Confirmation or a friend who belongs to the Secular Carmelites.
Made from a lightweight, durable resin-fiberglass blend and painted by hand.
