Our Lady of Mt. Carmel 32"

This 32-inch Our Lady of Mt. Carmel statue honors Mary as patroness of the Carmelite Order, which takes its name from the mountain where the prophet Elijah defended the worship of the true God. According to Carmelite tradition, in 1251 Our Lady gave the Brown Scapular to St. Simon Stock as a sign of her protection, and she is traditionally shown holding the Christ Child and the scapular. Her feast is July 16, and all who are enrolled in the scapular look to her as their Mother.

At 32 inches she suits a chapel, a side altar or a classroom, and she can stand in a grotto or courtyard on parish grounds; she is ideal for Carmelite parishes and scapular enrollment ceremonies.
