Mt. Carmel 55"

Flower of Carmel and patroness of the Carmelite Order, Mary is honored in this 55-inch Our Lady of Mount Carmel statue. Hermits living on Mount Carmel in the Holy Land first dedicated themselves to her, and tradition holds that in 1251 she gave the Brown Scapular to St. Simon Stock as a sign of her protection. Her feast is July 16. Catholics who wear the scapular take it as a pledge to live under her mantle, and many parishes honor her with processions and novenas.

At 55 inches it has the presence for a church sanctuary, a narthex, a Carmelite monastery, or an outdoor shrine on parish grounds, in a cemetery or in a school courtyard where scapular enrollments and July processions gather.
