Mt. Carmel 57"
This 57-inch Our Lady of Mount Carmel statue honors Mary as Mother and Beauty of Carmel, patroness of the Carmelite Order, whose roots reach back to hermits living on Mount Carmel in the Holy Land. Tradition holds that in 1251 she gave the Brown Scapular to St. Simon Stock as a sign of her protection. Her feast is July 16, and she is traditionally shown with the scapular that marks her devotion.
At this height she fits a sanctuary, a church entrance, a Carmelite monastery, or parish grounds, and she is a natural setting for scapular enrollments and the July 16 procession.
Finish options: Monotone, Standard Full-Color, and Fancy Full-Color. Monotone and Standard Full-Color are offered for interior or exterior placement; Fancy Full-Color is offered for interior placement only. Made from a lightweight, durable resin-fiberglass blend and painted by hand. +++
