Mt. Carmel 66" fancy
This 66-inch Our Lady of Mount Carmel statue honors the Blessed Virgin as patroness of the Carmelite Order, whose first hermits lived on Mount Carmel in the Holy Land, where the prophet Elijah prayed. Tradition holds that in 1251 Our Lady gave the Brown Scapular to St. Simon Stock as a sign of her protection. Her feast is July 16, and the faithful who wear the scapular look to her for compassion, protection and guidance through life and at the hour of death.
At 66 inches she suits a church sanctuary, a Carmelite chapel, a narthex or a side aisle of a large parish church. A fitting centerpiece for parishes named for Our Lady of Mount Carmel and for scapular enrollments.
Made from a lightweight, durable resin-fiberglass blend and painted by hand.
