Mt. Carmel 74"

For a parish, confraternity, or Carmelite community, this 74-inch Our Lady of Mount Carmel statue gives Mary's Carmelite title a place of honor. Around the year 1200, hermits on Mount Carmel, the mountain of the prophet Elijah, dedicated themselves to her and became the Carmelite Order. Tradition holds that in 1251 she gave the Brown Scapular to St. Simon Stock as a pledge of her protection, and the Church celebrates her feast on July 16.

At 74 inches she commands a sanctuary or a church entrance, and she is a striking focal point on parish grounds, in a school courtyard, or in a cemetery, where her motherly care at the hour of death is remembered.
