Pier Giorgio Frassati 12
This 12-inch St. Pier Giorgio Frassati statue honors the young man from Turin whom St. John Paul II called 'the man of the Beatitudes.' Born in 1901 to a prominent family, Pier Giorgio went to Mass daily, joined the Dominican laity, served the poor of the city in secret and loved climbing mountains with friends, writing 'Verso l'alto,' 'to the heights.' He died in 1925 at age 24 and was canonized on September 7, 2025. His feast is July 4, and he is a patron of young people.
A fitting gift for Confirmation, graduation or a young adult ministry leader, and a good companion on a desk, a dorm shelf or a home altar. Hikers and climbers keep him close as a reminder to aim for the heights.
Made from a lightweight, durable resin-fiberglass blend and painted by hand. +++
