Our Lady of Sorrows 48" relief (Calvary)

This 48-inch relief of Our Lady of Sorrows is made for a Calvary: the Sorrowful Mother standing at the foot of the cross as John's Gospel places her, to be mounted on a wall beside a crucifix. Her sorrow is the Church's own on Good Friday, and her feast is September 15. The faithful ask her to stand with them in their own grief.

At four feet the relief belongs in a sanctuary Calvary group, a cemetery chapel wall, a mausoleum, a Stations of the Cross garden or a hospital chapel, most often as a memorial.
