St. Anne 18"
This 18-inch St. Anne statue honors the mother of the Blessed Virgin Mary and grandmother of Jesus. Tradition, drawn from the early Protoevangelium of James, tells of Anne and Joachim praying for a child and receiving Mary as God's gift. Their feast is kept together on July 26. St. Anne is patroness of mothers, grandmothers, women in childbirth, and the province of Quebec, where pilgrims flock to Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré, and she is often pictured teaching the young Mary.
It fits a home altar, a prayer corner, or a mantel, and it is a lovely gift for a new grandmother, an expectant mother, or a family celebrating a baptism.
Made from a lightweight, durable resin-fiberglass blend and painted by hand. +++
