St. Anne 47"
This 47-inch St. Anne statue honors the mother of the Blessed Virgin Mary and grandmother of Jesus. Tradition handed down from the early Church names her and her husband Joachim as the parents who raised Mary in faith and prayer, and Sts. Joachim and Anne share a feast on July 26. St. Anne is patroness of mothers, grandmothers, women hoping for children and those in labor, and her great shrine at Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré in Quebec draws pilgrims seeking her motherly intercession.
At 47 inches she suits a chapel, a side altar or a shrine, and a parish or school named in her honor. She is also a fitting presence in a maternity hospital chapel or a retreat center for mothers.
The base measures 16 x 13.
Made from a lightweight, durable resin-fiberglass blend and painted by hand. +++
