St. Anne 60" relief

This 60-inch St. Anne relief honors the mother of the Blessed Virgin Mary and grandmother of Jesus, whose name, with that of St. Joachim, comes to us from ancient Christian tradition. According to that tradition, she and Joachim were long childless before God gave them Mary, conceived without original sin. Her feast with Joachim is July 26; she is patroness of grandmothers, mothers, and women in labor, and pilgrims seek her help at shrines such as Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré in Quebec.

At 60 inches, the relief is scaled for a church sanctuary or narthex wall, a parish named for St. Anne, or a hospital chapel, and it can be set into the outside wall of a church, a courtyard shrine, or a cemetery wall.
