St. Anthony 18"
This 18-inch St. Anthony of Padua statue honors the Franciscan preacher and Doctor of the Church whom Catholics everywhere call on to find what is lost. Born in Lisbon around 1195, he joined the Franciscans after the martyrdom of five friars in Morocco and became so powerful a preacher that he is called the Evangelical Doctor. He died near Padua in 1231, was canonized within a year, and is honored on June 13.
At 18 inches it sits well on a home altar, a kitchen shelf, or a desk where lost keys and lost causes both get prayed over. It is a warm gift for a new home, a wedding, or anyone named Anthony.
Made from a lightweight, durable resin-fiberglass blend and painted by hand.
