St. Bernadette 24"
This 24-inch St. Bernadette statue recalls Bernadette Soubirous, the poor and frail girl who knelt at the grotto of Massabielle while the Lady in white spoke with her in the local dialect of Lourdes. Our Lady asked for penance and prayer for sinners, for a chapel to be built and for people to come in procession, and a spring rose where Bernadette dug at her word. Canonized in 1933, Bernadette is honored on April 16 and invoked by the sick who pray for healing.
A lovely addition to a home altar, a classroom or a small chapel, and a thoughtful gift for a First Communion, a Confirmation or a pilgrim returning from Lourdes.
She measures 25 inches from the floor to the top of her head; if standing, she would be about 32 inches tall. Proportional to pair with a 40-inch to 50-inch Lourdes.
Made from a lightweight, durable resin-fiberglass blend and painted by hand. +++
