St. Bernadette kneeling statue, 40 inch, hand-painted resin

St. Bernadette 40"

$2,150.00

This 40-inch St. Bernadette statue honors the young miller's daughter of Lourdes to whom the Blessed Virgin appeared eighteen times in 1858 at the grotto of Massabielle. When Bernadette asked the Lady her name, she answered, 'I am the Immaculate Conception.' Bernadette later entered the Sisters of Charity at Nevers, where she lived hidden and humble until her death, and her body rests there incorrupt. Her feast is April 16, and she is patron of the sick and of those ridiculed for their faith.

Suited to a chapel, a side altar or an indoor Lourdes shrine, and to a hospital or nursing home chapel. She also makes a fitting companion within a parish Lourdes display.

She measures 40 inches from the floor to the top of her head. Her body proportions are those of a standing person, which makes the figure appear bigger overall; if she were standing, she would measure exactly 52 inches.

Made from a lightweight, durable resin-fiberglass blend and painted by hand.
