St. Catherine of Laboure 40"

This 40-inch St. Catherine Labouré statue honors the humble Daughter of Charity to whom the Blessed Virgin entrusted the Miraculous Medal. In 1830, as a young novice at the Rue du Bac in Paris, Catherine saw Our Lady and received the design of the medal, inscribed 'O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.' She then spent more than forty years quietly caring for the elderly, revealing her role only shortly before her death in 1876. Her feast is November 28.

At 40 inches, she fits a chapel, a side altar or a classroom, and a Miraculous Medal novena group or a Daughters of Charity community will value her in a shrine corner or a grotto on the grounds.
