St. Catherine of Sienna 23"
This 23-inch St. Catherine of Siena statue honors the Dominican tertiary and mystic who, with little formal schooling, was named a Doctor of the Church in 1970. Catherine nursed the sick and served the poor of her city, dictated her Dialogue on Divine Providence, and urged Pope Gregory XI to bring the papacy home from Avignon to Rome. Her feast is April 29, and she is co-patroness of Italy and of Europe.
At 23 inches she suits a home altar, prayer corner or bookshelf, and she makes a meaningful Confirmation gift for a young woman taking Catherine as her patron. Lay Dominicans and study groups often keep her close as well.
Finish options: Monotone, Standard Full-Color, Premium Full-Color, and Fancy Full-Color. Monotone and Standard Full-Color are offered for interior or exterior placement; Premium Full-Color and Fancy Full-Color are offered for interior placement only. Made from a lightweight, durable resin-fiberglass blend and painted by hand.
