St. Christopher 60"

This 60-inch St. Christopher statue honors the martyr whose name means "Christ-bearer" and whose legend tells of carrying a child across a dangerous river, only to learn he had borne Christ Himself. He is one of the Fourteen Holy Helpers and the enduring patron of travelers, drivers and all who set out on journeys. His memorial is kept on July 25 in many local calendars, and motorists still ask his protection on the road.

Standing five feet tall, it suits a church entrance, parish grounds, a school courtyard or the edge of a parish parking area, and inside a narthex it greets parishioners setting out on the road after Mass.
