St. Clare 20"
This 20-inch St. Clare statue honors Clare of Assisi, the young noblewoman who left everything on Palm Sunday night in 1212 to follow St. Francis and founded the Poor Clares. Tradition tells how she held up the Blessed Sacrament to turn back soldiers threatening her convent, and she is often pictured with a monstrance. Pope Pius XII named her patroness of television in 1958, and her feast is August 11.
Its size suits a home altar, desk or bookshelf, and it is a lovely Confirmation gift for a girl choosing Clare as her patron or for a young woman entering religious life. A sheltered garden nook works well too.
Finish options: Monotone, Standard Full-Color, and Fancy Full-Color. Monotone and Standard Full-Color are offered for interior or exterior placement; Fancy Full-Color is offered for interior placement only. Made from a lightweight, durable resin-fiberglass blend and painted by hand. +++
