St. Dominick 50"
This 50-inch St. Dominic statue (listed as St. Dominick) portrays Dominic de Guzmán, the Castilian priest who founded the Order of Preachers, confirmed by Pope Honorius III in 1216, to answer error with sound preaching, study and poverty. Tradition closely links him with the spread of the Rosary. He is customarily pictured in the white habit and black cloak of his Order, and the Church keeps his memorial on August 8.
Its commanding height suits a church sanctuary or entrance, a Dominican priory, or the grounds of a parish or school under his patronage. Placed in a courtyard or along a Rosary walk, it invites passersby to pray.
Finish options: Monotone, Standard Full-Color, and Premium Full-Color. Monotone and Standard Full-Color are offered for interior or exterior placement; Premium Full-Color is offered for interior placement only. Made from a lightweight, durable resin-fiberglass blend and painted by hand. +++
