St. Francis 18" with wolf
St. Francis with the Wolf of Gubbio, captured in this 18-inch statue, retells one of the best-loved stories in the Little Flowers of St. Francis. When a fierce wolf terrorized the town of Gubbio, Francis went out to meet it, made the sign of the cross, and called it 'Brother Wolf.' He brokered a peace in which the townspeople fed the wolf and it harmed no one again, a sign of the reconciling power of the Gospel.
At 18 inches the statue suits a home altar, a bookshelf, or a religious education classroom, and it is a delightful gift for animal lovers, a child's First Communion, or a Franciscan friend.
Made from a lightweight, durable resin-fiberglass blend and painted by hand.
