St. Francis of Assisi statue, 31 inch, hand-painted resin

St. Francis 31"

St. Francis of Assisi, the poor man who heard Christ ask him to rebuild His Church, is honored in this 31-inch statue. Born around 1181, he renounced his inheritance to follow the Gospel, founded the Friars Minor, and composed the Canticle of the Creatures, praising God through Brother Sun and Sister Moon. He received the stigmata in 1224, died in 1226, and is honored on October 4 as patron of animals and of ecology.

At 31 inches he suits a chapel, a side altar, or a classroom, and he is a natural choice for a garden or grotto, especially where a parish blesses animals on his feast.

Finish options: Monotone, Standard Full-Color, Premium Full-Color, and Fancy Full-Color. Monotone and Standard Full-Color are offered for interior or exterior placement; Premium Full-Color and Fancy Full-Color are offered for interior placement only. Made from a lightweight, durable resin-fiberglass blend and painted by hand. +++
