St. Francis 60" relief

This 60-inch St. Francis relief honors Francis of Assisi, the deacon and founder of the Friars Minor who embraced Gospel poverty so completely that he became known as the Poor Man of Assisi. Pope Innocent III approved his simple rule of life, and within a few years thousands had followed him. After receiving the stigmata on La Verna, Francis died on October 3, 1226, welcoming 'Sister Death,' and the Church keeps his feast on October 4. He is a patron of Italy, of animals and of ecology.

A relief of this size suits a church sanctuary, a church entrance, a parish courtyard, a cemetery or a school courtyard, where it can greet everyone who passes by.
