This 42-inch St. Ignatius of Loyola statue portrays the founder of the Society of Jesus holding a monstrance, a sign of the Eucharistic heart of his mission. A Basque soldier converted while recovering from a battle wound, Ignatius gave the Church the Spiritual Exercises and sent his companions to the ends of the earth for the greater glory of God. His feast is July 31, and he is honored as patron of retreats, of soldiers and of the many schools and parishes entrusted to the Jesuits.
Well suited to a Jesuit school chapel, a retreat house, a side altar or a classroom where students learn to pray the Examen. It also serves a parish named for him, set near the tabernacle or in a devotional niche.
The statue measures 42 inches in height, or 43 inches including the halo. The price includes the halo, the monstrance and the special paint finish.
Made from a lightweight, durable resin-fiberglass blend and painted by hand.
