St. Joachim

This St. Joachim statue honors the father of the Blessed Virgin Mary, husband of St. Anne and grandfather of Jesus. The Gospels do not name him, but the ancient Protoevangelium of James tells how Joachim and Anne prayed through long years for a child before God gave them Mary. The Church celebrates Sts. Joachim and Anne together on July 26, and they are patrons of grandparents, whom Pope Francis also honored with the World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly.

Place him in a chapel, a parish named for Sts. Joachim and Anne, a home prayer corner or a garden shrine; he is a warm gift for a grandfather, a new father or a couple hoping for a child.

Finish options: Monotone, Standard Full-Color, and Fancy Full-Color. Monotone and Standard Full-Color are offered for interior or exterior placement; Fancy Full-Color is offered for interior placement only. Made from a lightweight, durable resin-fiberglass blend and painted by hand.
