St. John of Calvary 48" relief

This 48-inch St. John of Calvary relief depicts the Beloved Disciple as he stood at Calvary, the only Apostle who remained with Jesus to the end. From the cross, Christ gave him to Mary with the words, "Behold your mother," and from that hour John took her into his home. Honored as author of the Fourth Gospel, three letters, and the Book of Revelation, he is remembered on December 27 and is patron of friendship, theologians, and writers.

As a relief, it is suited to a chapel or sanctuary wall, a Good Friday devotional space, or a mausoleum, and it can be set into an outdoor shrine wall on parish or cemetery grounds.
