This 72-inch St. John of Calvary statue portrays the beloved disciple as he stood at the foot of the Cross, the only one of the Twelve present at the Crucifixion. There Jesus entrusted His Mother to him with the words "Behold, your mother," and from that hour John took her into his home. Evangelist, author of three letters and of Revelation, St. John the Apostle is honored on December 27 and is patron of friendships and of theologians.

At six feet tall it is proportioned for a sanctuary, a church entrance, a cemetery or mausoleum, or the parish grounds, where it invites the faithful to stay near the Cross as John did.
