St. Jose Luis Sanchez 48"

This 48-inch St. José Luis Sánchez del Río statue honors the young Mexican martyr who gave his life for Christ during the Cristero War. At just 14 years old he joined the struggle for religious freedom, and when captured he refused to renounce his faith; he was executed in 1928 crying, “¡Viva Cristo Rey!” Canonized by Pope Francis in 2016, he is a model of courage and unwavering love for God, especially for young Catholics, and his feast is February 10.

At four feet he suits a chapel, a side altar, a youth ministry room, or a Catholic school classroom, and he makes a stirring presence in an outdoor grotto where Confirmation candidates gather.

Metal halo is extra $80. Base is 13x13. Weight is about 12 pounds.
