St. Joseph 53" Laborer

This 53-inch St. Joseph the Laborer statue honors the carpenter of Nazareth who taught the Son of God to work with His hands. Pope Pius XII instituted the feast of St. Joseph the Worker on May 1, 1955, presenting Joseph as the model and protector of all who labor. In the quiet workshop Joseph sanctified ordinary work, and he is patron of workers, craftsmen, fathers and the Universal Church, reminding every trade that honest work offered to God becomes prayer.

At 53 inches it is scaled for a church entrance, parish grounds or a school courtyard, and it is especially fitting at a Catholic trade school, a workers' chapel or a parish named for St. Joseph the Worker.
