St. Joseph sleeping 8"
This 8-inch St. Joseph sleeping statue shows the foster father of Jesus at rest, open to God's voice in his dreams. In the Gospel of Matthew an angel speaks to Joseph in sleep, telling him to take Mary as his wife, to flee into Egypt with the Child and later to return home, and each time he rises and obeys. Pope Francis made this image beloved worldwide by sharing that he slips written petitions beneath his own Sleeping St. Joseph, trusting the saint to carry them to God.
Its small size suits a nightstand, a desk or a home altar, where family members can tuck their written prayers beneath it, and it is a warm gift for a new home, a new father or a wedding.
Made from a lightweight, durable resin-fiberglass blend and painted by hand. +++
